Booking Through Thursday (3)

Missed last week's. :( Oh well...

There are certain types of books that I more or less assume all readers read. (Novels, for example.)

But then there are books that only YOU read. Instructional manuals for fly-fishing. How-to books for spinning yarn. How to cook the perfect souffle. Rebuilding car engines in three easy steps. Dog training for dummies. Rewiring your house without electrocuting yourself. Tips on how to build a NASCAR course in your backyard. Stuff like that.
What niche books do YOU read?

Okay, let me think about this...

- Crochet books. How to crochet books, books with patterns and instructions, books with all the different crochet stitches... I own a ton of crochet books and look at even more either at my library or a book store.

- any other craft book. You know those Klutz kits? I own them all. Well, almost all of them. From the friendship bracelets to the window art, to knitting, to paper quilling, to beading. I've pretty much grown up on Klutz kits and several other craft books because my mom likes them. :) And I do too of course.

- Fashion books. My last summer's reading project was to read all I could about fashion. So I got tons of books about fashion history, especially in the 20th century because that's most interesting I find. I've also read books about current fashion designers and the like.

- Psychology books. Well, book. I've got this huge old textbook from my mom that I'm attempting to wade through. The problem is I always have a slew of library books to get through and it's not like I can lug around a ten pound textbook everywhere with me. So far though, which is like the first chapter, it's interesting. Another summer project... :P

- Manga. I love manga. And I own a ton of it. I have two huge shelves on my bookshelf dedicated to manga. :D

- I also own tons of how to draw manga books that I was obsessed with a few years back. Now I doodle mostly, not really considered drawing.

- Archie comics. Do these count? They should. 'Cause they're amazing. I'm thinking of doing a post to state why Archie comics are awesome because a couple of my friends don't think so. Either way, I also have 2 bookshelves dedicated to Archie comics, mostly all gotten at used book stores.

And I'm pretty sure that's it. I mostly stick to novels, but I like to branch out and learn other stuff too. :) I also of course read school textbooks, but those are never for pleasure. They're to keep my average up. :P
