I've tried to read Wuthering Heights, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, and Emma... but I never got very far.<br /><br />Jane Eyre and I Capture the Castle are two of my very favourite books, though. But, it IS a little depressing and somber than other things on your list! Jane Eyre is a favorite from when I was a teen.
